Amnesty International

The Ladue Chapter of Amnesty International works to impartially free political prisoners through such activities as writing letters to foreign governments organizing petition drives, and by raising awareness among students through the use of posters, videotapes and guest speakers.

An association of marketing/management students that provides avenues for personal and professional development in the areas of leadership, social skills, vocational understanding, and civic consciousness.  Limited to students enrolled in a marketing class.

Mock Trial

The Missouri High School Mock Trial program is a law-related educational competitive program sponsored by the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.  The program objectives are to increase student understanding of the judicial process.

Monday evenings 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. December through March and set trial dates.

The Ladue Chapter of the National Honor Society consists of students who demonstrate exemplary scholarship, character leadership, and service.  See page 48 in the Student Handbook for membership qualifications.  Inductions are held in spring.

Quiz Bowl
Academic Team

Scholastic team competition that prepares students to participate in MACA events and in Knowledge Masters competitions.  Members have interest in particular academic subject area (history, math, science, literature, music and art) and have enthusiasm for competition.

Safe A Life

Raise awareness in the community of poor choices made by loved ones. Give support to those who want to save lives by promoting moral courage as the cure.  Save one life at a time, beginning with our own.  Club is open to any student willing to express moral courage and to do the right thing.

Science Olympiad

Science enrichment and competition for students who are interested and/or excel in science.  Open to any student interested in science and wants to compete at the regional and state levels.

Student Council

The Student Council members are elected in the spring, except for incoming freshman, who are elected in the fall.  The organization serves as a forum for student expression, plans social affairs (Homecoming Dance), organizes special programs, and works to better school/community relations.

Students Against Destructive Decisions
SADD and
TREND

SADD is a student-led organization whose goal is to increase awareness about drunk driving and drug use.  Members encourage peers to make safe, healthy and positive decisions.
TREND is a group that reaches out teens to educate and spread awareness of alcohol and drugs.  Also is a community service organization.

Tri-M Music Honor Society

The goal of Tri-M is to foster greater interest in band, orchestra and choral performance and to provide opportunities for personal musical expression.  Members are selected on the basis of musicianship, scholarship, character, leadership and school and community service.

YLSL – Focus St. Louis

YLSL is a high school leadership program for juniors that builds leadership skills, strengthens character and promotes teamwork.  Membership is by application each spring.  Teacher recommendation is needed and an interview process is required.

Youth in Government

This club is open to students in grades 9-12 who are interested in taking an active part in leadership and the American Democratic process.  Giving guidance, training, and experience in the theory and practice of determining public policy.
